About me

Hello!

My name is FT, I come from Greece and my mission in life is to elevate the food IQ of humanity. I am an o a quest for finding the best ways to eat right and enjoy every bite. Because our food, deserves to be healthy, yummy and fun.

When I talk about eating right, I speak with the authority of someone who?s been to the other side: Yeah, I used to be one of those guys, and I lived on an over-cooked, over-processed, deplorable diet full of chemicals and additives. I hated myself for being overweight, and worse yet I had no clue where to begin the change I so desperately craved. All I knew was that some kind of change was necessary to turn my life around.

My quest for a healthy diet and lifestyle started during my university studies in Britain. My goal was not to change the world?but to change myself by losing weight and enjoying better health. And so I delved into scores of books, magazines, and scientific reports on dietary issues and cooking techniques, signed up for countless seminars and workshops offered by acclaimed chefs and dieticians, and started experimenting with new kinds of food and new kinds of cooking. Giving up would?ve meant giving up on myself, so I stubbornly stuck with it, and it made a world of difference. When all was said and done I was not just healthier, but happier, more confident?and still enjoyed great food!

I always had a passion with food. Everything started in mum’s kitchen. It’s this combination of sinfully delicious flavours and products – always made with the freshest ingredients – that brought about my incurable addiction to good food. Mediterranean cuisine is part of my genetic make-up and by traveling around every part of Greece I have tried and cooked with the best, real and fresh produce.

Apart from food, my other passion is life is music. I sing and play guitar and I love combing the two in a truly unique way. I sing when I cook and I write music about food. Foodmusic, that makes the food taste better. These songs have great impact with kids. Entertainment and music are amazing teaching tools that I use all the time when I promote the idea of tasty-healthy food.

Healthy eating doesn?t mean tasteless, boring food. With some basic food knowledge and skills, we can really enjoy healthy tasty meals. So do it for you? Raise your food IQ. So go ahead, play with your food, experiment, try new things and keep raising your food IQ. Because your food, deserves to be healthy, yummy and fun.
